Criminal Law
In Canada Criminal Law is regulated under the Federal Criminal Code. Criminal offences are separated into three categories. Provincial Offences Act
The Provincial Offences Act is an empowering act allowing the Province of Ontario to enforce and prosecute under Provincial legislation and regulations. They are often prosecuted in the quasi criminal style. Although distinctly separate from the Criminal Code, POA offences can carry heavy fines and jail time.Examples include but are not limited to-Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8 (Stunt/Careless Driving, Without License or Insurance, CVOR Matters)Trespass to Property Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. T.21Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, 1997, S.O. 1997, c. 41 (Prohibited hunting, trapping or fishing)

Small Claims Court
The Small Claims Court is a division of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. It primarily hears matters involving monetary disputes up to $35,000.00 Cad or equivalent.It is also the Court where Applicants can seek enforcement of lower Court or Tribunal Decisions within the $35,000.00 limit. Examples include but are not limited to -Contract/Invoice Disputes.Damages and compensation Disputes.Enforcement of Landlord and Tenant Board eviction or arears.

Landlord and Tenant Board
The Landlord and Tenant Board is an adjudicative tribunal operating in the province of Ontario that provides dispute resolution of landlord and tenant matters under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006.
The Board has no authority over Commercial Properties or Real Estate Matters.
